High Gas Prices Got you down to?

Has the high gas prices effected your living? The gas prices have really affected my daily living. I live on a fixed income and i don't hardly go anywhere now im pretty much became a hermit. When i make trips to town i lump all i can on one trip groceries, doctor, medicine and back home no more sunday joy trips cuts down on visiting friends as well. Its really sad at $2 dollar a gallon gas it didn't hurt to bad but when it costs 40 bucks to fill my little 4 cyclinder car i can only afford that once maybe twice a month. And when i go to the store now i get sticker shock there! Bread has gone up from a year ago of .68 cents to .84 cents a loaf 2 weeks ago to $1.12 last night. Ground turkey took a big jump in price i was buying it, it was $1.48 a pound looked last night it was $1.98 a pound. I know one thing if gas gets as high like it is in Europe its gonna majorly cripple this country, people will be working to feed their car just to get to work wont have much money left for anything else like house payment or food utilities. And its only get worse. Get ready for a wild ride folks its gonna get ugly and uglier. Oil and fuel prices will start the world into a great depression im thinking. People will get to the point where they can't afford to fuel car to go to work, food prices increase so you get less food for your money its got to have a nasty ending somewhere down the road. I am told im to adapt to alternate means of transportation just how in the hell am i going to do that? The only means of transportation that dont use gasoline is bicycle, horse, and your feet. Well when your 15 miles from a Walmart or big town to get some groceries that wipes out walking and riding a bicycle. Besides bicycle riding is out for me i got bad knees and hips. I have no objection if some sort of mass transit was available near me like going to a street corner and catching a bus or passenger train but that just dont exist out here in middle of no where Iowa. Towns are so far apart and they are usually small. They cant afford to create some sort of mass transit system. Most trains are ran by diesel fuel or buses thats over $4.50 a gallon. If some sort of new car came out that ran on hydrogen it would be along time before many millions of Americans could afford one of those, so what are we to do in the mean time? Also we are told to move to the cities the area of city where i could afford rent i wouldn't want to live in the bad part of town how many of us are willing to want to do that ? Somewhere down the road gas and oil is gonna price itself to high for a average person to afford it and be able to buy groceries let alone pay other bills.
I think the price of oil is nothing more than a money grab and its being driven by these eco-terrorists as i call them trying to reduce the green house gases. They want us to be living like they did in dark ages for that to happen many people will have to starve to death first. It's gonna be something i don't want to see coming but its most definitely coming. I hope these nuts who are so dead set against destroying the United States are happy getting rich what they gonna do when this country turns into a 3rd world country? They have some tropical island to live on?It's just very sad to see this happening.
